BILLY WEISMAN

BILLY WEISMAN

Billy Weisman, a lifelong serial entrepreneur, began his artistic journey at the age of 50 when he took his first workshop at Anderson Ranch in 1999. His early works, which he calls “N’art” (not art), focused on assemblage using everyday items from junk drawers. Over time, his art evolved to incorporate found objects and later, sticks and stones. Billy continues to develop as an artist, working from his home studio in Aspen. His creative use of materials reflects his entrepreneurial spirit.

This exhibition marks the first time Billy has offered his art for sale. He’s excited to share his work with the community, and all proceeds will go to the Soar Foundation, distributing funds to support local pro-social organizations within the valley.

”At Large”

The story behind my show at the Aspen Collective is about embracing personal challenges and, on my life’s journey, “persisting what you resist” as I turn 75. It explores what it means to continue creating art as a form of expression and fulfillment, as I’m no longer active in business. Art is a vehicle for creativity, allowing me to evolve as a person. This exhibition represents my transition from hobby to purpose.
